Rockland Maine….Egypt?

Masked welcoming crew

When we were forced to return to the States in June because our time in Greece ran out, we got handled with care by a number of friends. The hospitality was almost like being in Greece! Vanessa plied us with a nice wine and we enjoyed a socially distant catch-up chat, Irene gave us special masks and returned some of our kitchen goods that we never expected to see again (including our much loved Vietnamese fish sauce), Bella, Robert, and Kai cooked for and shopped for us!  And Lisa woke up super early to make breakfast for us and hang out as we headed to Maine. I depicted these (masked) events below.  Our friends made our return pleasant even though we really didn’t want to come back. (And I haven’t even mentioned that our extremely socially distant pals, Beth and Mike, who were in Pennsylvania at the time, let us stay at their place our first couple nights back in the US!)
